WOMAN

(Translated from Creole version)

I’m truly an important tool inside God’s house

As they get water from a well they pulled me from man’s rib

Many call me flower when they see me stand in beauty

I give birth with pain due to disobedience

Nine months I carry a person within to give back what I took

But a day is too long to take what must be returned later

When flower fades you don’t see its beauty but I have a secret

When skin deep beauty betrays me inside my heart true love’s rays pierce

Age and experience entwine to show the kids the way

Where love abides always in a land we’re invited

I explained to them well that love can’t be compared

So they don’t fall into mischief or be tricked by imposters

I told them the Blood of Jesus shed, do wash away all sins

And if they give Jesus their heart and live for Him alone

They too can be an important tool in the house of the Living God

Like me a little pole in God’s Temple, they call me WOMAN
