I closed the door on love
I kicked him out, no more
I pray to God above
If love’s a man enstore
He’d find himself a tree
And from that tree he’d see
A neatly well carved cross
‘Twas carelessly toss’d
On ‘t shoulders of my Boss
To preserve my eternal loss
Upon entering my life
To take me as a wife
Not as a dagger or knife
Nor should he bring me strife
He’d plainly see my worth
Was not man-made since birth
Only then if proven not vain
Found knowledge he didn’t waste
Could he dare to ever gain
My heart, life, love at fired haste
