I rebuked, denied, then welcomed my match

One of the biggest threats to any relationship is in comparing a moment’s fling to a lifelong engagement! The moment’s fling is at a standstill in the kind. It had a beginning and a quick end because it was nothing more than a fling, a passing fancy and it’s done! Short and sweet, no commitment, no bond time, no strings attached, no set rules to break! A lifelong engagement on the other hand is lasting and more time consuming which gives both parties plenty of time to get involved with each other, to connect, applaud and despise habits formed, forming or discovered! Some can’t get past go, others breakdown along the road, still others come to an abrupt stop after getting many years in with the excuse that the passion has died, while others came close to the finish line but chose not to cross it, yet there are brave ones that has braved the storms and has lived to tell their story. Though knowing this, one can’t help but ask, what use is this engagement? Only an overly bruised being would dare to utter such a feeble question due to an underlying sore that has yet to heal it seems. For no one is born self gratified, self sufficient, with self complete! Each has a missing rib in a far corner of this planet called life. To find one’s missing rib is truly a blessing but there are others after suffering life’s blows choose to stay without the rib though it’s well needed and even deserved by some.
